White Water Rafting

The #1 thing to do in Dandeli is to go white water rafting on the Kali River.

 

Details:

  • Rafting starts at Ganeshgudi, a 30 minute drive from Jungli 

  • Runs all year except monsoon (July-Aug)

  • Long rafting: ~12km long; ~₹1,500 (~$18 USD) per person; book here

  • Short rafting: ~6km long,; ~₹1,350 (~$16 USD) per person; book here

River dip & water sports

Hornbill River Resort is a beautiful spot on the river where you can spend the day.

 

Details:

  • In Ganeshgudi, 30 minutes from Jungli

  • Day package includes a swim in the river, the option to kayak, and lunch.

  • They also have additional activities like short rafting, zorbing, zip lining and quad biking [extra charges will apply]

  • Some activities may be limited during monsoon (July-Aug)

Jungle Safari

Drive through ancient, untouched forest and take your chance at spotting black panthers, bears, tigers and wild elephants. However, animal sightings have reduced over the years - and we have the same forest within Jungli Campus!

 

Details:

  • Head to Phansoli Forest Department to book

  • Timings: 6AM - 8AM (report at 5AM) and 4PM - 6PM (report at 3PM)

  • Fee: ₹650 per person

Phansoli Elephant Camp

If you’d like to interact with elephants, you can visit the Phansoli Elephant Camp.
 

Details:

  • In Phansoli, 30 minutes from Jungli

  • Timings: 8AM - 9AM and 5PM - 6:30PM

  • Fee: ₹50 to enter

A viewing platform that allows you to view these modern day dinosaurs from a safe distance.

Dandeli is known for Hornbills (see above), Indian Giant Squirrels, Kingfishers, Bulbul's and many more birds. We can organise for a professional naturalist to come to the campus and help unlock a whole new level of the flora & fauna around you.
